From Waste - A Hut

In a situation like this, when everything is locked down, and we are forced to stay at home, we need some fun activities to engage kids. This is what I prepared with my son when he was around 4 years old and though he usually lacked patience and concentration, at that age, he was very excited to work on this and wanted to do everything on his own.

Material required

All you need for this are:
  • an empty carton for e.g. a diaper box.
  • a cardboard sheet
  • some water colors
  • Color sketch pen
Procedure
  • As you see in images above, remove the box flapes
  • Cut out the door and windows on the box using knife (don't let kids do it. )
  • You can either paste a plane paper on top of the box and then color or simply color the box. (Kids usually enjoy this activity)
  • For roof, color cardboard sheet and draw straight line on it to give the impression of bricks lining using sketch pen (as shown in the picture).
  • Let the colors dry
  • Now using sketch pen draw the outlines for door and windows
  • Attach the cardboard sheet (roof) to the box (hut) using either proper glue or staple it.

Your Hut is ready !!  :)
